while replacing fuel pump assembly, tank shifted, broke off the plastic piece that the fuel intake snaps onto. Is there anyway to take that piece off the old one?

jwwjp, welcome to the forum. Unfortunately I'm not having a visual picture in my head of this problem. Do you have a photo of it?
