This is a link to general Motors automatics with know valve body design flaw .


3L40 , 3L60 3T40, all rwd v6 @ v8s desiels engines. 4T60 ,4T60E , 4T80 . 440T4 all fwd v6 @ v8s desiels engines.
3T40 , 3T60 , @E series all fwd s.three @ four cyclinders @ small v6s.

the additional links i have posted happen to my two gm cars.91 olds delta 88 and 91 chevy lumina. both have same tranny as yours.please read postings and follow up on suggestion may fix your problem.
