the burner and pilot go out a few seconds after lighting. I re light and the burner comes on but then goes out in about 30 seconds

could be the pilot sensor or the t-state. could be a bad valve.

It's the thermocouple and is very simple to install!you can get one at home cheapo or lowes for about 6or7 dollars the directions are on the package!
