I have a GE portable tv mod #20GH100 which I got used with no remote. I hooked it up to my new cable tv digital converter box, which I must have the tv on channel 4 to use. Every time I turn on the tv with the cable box remote, or even manually, the tv comes up on channel 13 instead of channel 4. This being a bedroom tv and having to get out of bed to manually tune back to channel 4 is a real pain. Is there a menu option on the remote, which I don't have, to program something to prevent this? Or is the tv just gone bad? The picture is great and everything else works fine. The chassis is a CTC166JD made Jan 1992.

GB,

Usually they'll remember where you left them, and come back on to the same channel.

You might try entering Ch 4 several times in a row, maybe forcing it to remember.

If you do a auto program in the menu with the cable box on it should only find channel four and stay there every time you turn it on and off
