I am currently doing a head gasket replacement on this engine.the question i have is once i remove the timing belt off the the cams how do i reset the timing? also when removing the intake manifold do i need to remove fuel injectors to get intake off? i see why most people hate this particular engine...

Did you happen to get that timing belt replaced yet. GM has a special tool for arranging the cams prior to installing the belt. $300 tool. Didn't know if you got away without using that tool.

You have to unscrew the fuel rail then after thats done, you just pry them out of the holes and you'll notice that they are stuck in by a little O-ring. It's easy.

As for the timing belt goes, I have the same problem.
