Hi, I am new in the diy scene and am looking for a recommendation for an all round drill driver bit set, that has bits for wood, plastic, metal, Maison and so on. I want to be able to attempt whatever I need to, though this will never be a profession to me. I would really find names of sets that you like useful.

Dewalt makes an excellent set of TiN coated bits for general purpose work, the larger bits have a pilot tip that keeps the bits from wandering, you just have to be careful because if you are drilling softwoods/soft plastics rapidly, the bits will pull your drill through the material... yes, they are that good. just be prepared, cause if you've got a decent drill, it'll practically rip it out of your hand....

They'll work for wood, plastic, aluminum, steel.... masonry bits are a different beast entirely. since they are practically 'one use' items, I never bothered gettin expensive ones....

Good luck!
