Granite Shield

Has anyone used a product called Granite Shield to seal a granite countertop?

Wilson I have not used that product ever, but just wanted to say hi & welcome to the forum. I am happy you joined us.

I used Granite Shield on my granite countertops and travertine floors. It's not one you can do yourself. They sent out their own people to seal everything, but the countertops came with a LIFETIME warranty. I don't have to seal it over and over again every six months like with other sealers. My counters are easier to clean and I dont have to rush to wipe up spills and I can clean it with anything, even ammonia and clorox, which would strip off other sealers. They claim it's a new technology that allows the granite to breath, but does not allow liquid to penetrate. If there is ever a problem, such as a stain or etch, they will repair it and reseal it. If they can't repair it, then they will replace my granite. They didn't warranty the flooring for life, I only got a 10 year warranty on that. You can find video demos of Granite Shield on youtube. yes, it was $5 per square foot for me. So, I calculated it would take me about 3 years to break even, but it's so nice not having to worry about when the sealer wears off anymore. Plus, I can use Windex to clean it and it shines like a glass window. And cooking oil and grease just sits on top now without soaking in like with other sealers.

Hi, I noticed an error in my last post. Only the countertops were $5 per sqare foot and I got a LIFETIME warranty. The flooring was only $1.25 per sf, but it's only warranteed for 10 years.
