I'd test to see if there is no voltage to the light, and check the resistance of obvious fuses, the only other thing is to ensure that all your board to board connectors are properly connected (especially flexible ones, somehave a service life of 5 or less cycles, which makes them very unreliable given any kind of stress.), and each conductor ohms out. Above and beyond that, you'll need some kind of wiring diagram, or TS flow chart to go farther (even though a decent DMM 'll get you 90% of the way).
Almost forgot, check the original bulb, ohm it out, if it's burned out, your repair may have caused a new problem, if it's not, then you definitely have something else going on.
