So, we have a super skinny twin home (only 13' wide)so living space is tight. I have claimed the finished attic as my space and I've been thinking about knocking out the back part of the A frame roof and putting in an attic deck/balcony with slider doors from the finished attic space to the new deck area.
Everyone I ask goes right to wow that's gonna be expensive but no one will tell me if it's a good/bad idea, pros/cons, etc. Can it even be done? Any ideas?

Greetings Sarah welcome to the Forum.

I'd say it was a great idea !

Might check with your Zoning or HOA if that applies, but if you do the floor right on it, you'll also come up with a nice dry covered Patio. I just love to sit out under the cover when it rains !

Have a good Day !
