Uoops, sorry, I missed seeing your post!

The added load time for the front page is probably because it's loading more pictures, and, because it's more complex page.

Really don't know what to tell you about speeding it up, I'd blame it on your "Dial Up" more than anything.

I shore do, I gots an pretty cheep computer, and know not to put too much on it, thankya fo de adivce thou.

Actually I gots two ways to get on the internet, my Grandpa had one of dem special account with AARP, dat was wid the PeoplePc, and that service was really bad.
I gettin it with Juno now, i found it was free throu them, and like that a lot better. I still got the Peoplepc account, but when i get all the business done wid it, i'ma lettin it go.
But i found out you don't have to be on your computer to log on hear, I logged on from the Library and one of my friend house, and dat Library Computer a bunch faster than my old thing.

That explains everything !!!

I have the same type account with AARP through PeoplePc, and it stinks !!

I've written about 30 complaints to them, because of their slow connection, they dump all those discount members on the same server I think, and when things get busy, it's taken me more than 5 minutes to get a page on the screen.

However, on this Site, I think it's the new pictures that are loading in the middle of the opening screen, you probably have a standard video board, and coupled with the slow DialUp, that's all you can do is wait.
