I have replaced the egr valve, crankshaft sensor, and the idle air control valve, but the engine still idles high unfortunaly I do not have a tach to see what the actual rpm is but you can tell that it is high. could it possibly be the computer? I am at a loss need some advice.

Jetmech54 welcome to the forum

Isn't it a good thing to have a high rpm? (you can see I'm totally not knowledgeable about this subject)

I was reading a bit about it and what comes back all the time is that 'stroker buildup' - and the balance between the various parts you mentioned above...

Check for vacuum leaks. also, if you can borrow a scan tool to put on it, check to see what the RPM really is, and look at the temp sensor output... a bad temp sensor reads like -30 degrees or something and that will also make it idle high.
