I have a Hitachi Vm-2400A Camcorder that was given to my dad and it does nothing when the battery is charged and I even attached a universal Ac adapter set on 9 volts all it does is make the screen where the eye peice is flash. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Anthony welcome here

I've heard there are batteries around that are not all that reliable, are you sure you used complete compliable batteries?

Thanks for the reply. The person who gave it to my dad said they bought a new battery and tried it and it didn't work. Could something have went out on it?

Anthony maybe check with a different brand battery - and are you sure 9volts is what is needed?
