My daughters battery goes dead when she sets the car alarm or beeps the horn! The car went crazy today after she beeped the horn. Speedomator needles going up and down...blinker lights going on really fast...radio dies...then the car ran rough and won't start back up...dead battery. Any ideas?

Forgot to say this is a 99 cougar. Replaced battery this spring...please anyone have answer?

Theresa,

I'm pretty new here, but i would make sure and check all your grounds, thats what it sounds like to me.
over time the ground screws and such can get rusty or corroded and not allow the necessary electrical current pass thru, and in some cases making things go hay-wire.
