I need to run an industrial strength hot water hose from my water heater presure relief valve to under the house for pressure relief drainage. I need approx. 6 FT of hose with 3/4" male connector.

Where can I purchase this?

Thanks.

Most people test the T&P by placing a bucket under the discharge pipe and lifting the lever to make sure the T&P is working and to blow out any debris

I did that however, the T&P discharges a burst of water intermidantely. I called Whirlpool and they said that is normal. The problem isthat I do not have a drain to channel the water to. That's why I thought some type of a hose could be used to channel the water under the house (manufactured home). If you have any other ideas please let me know.

Thanks.

Greetings John welcome to the Forum.

They make a "Garden type Water Hose" that's rated for hot water (can't remember the exact temp rating).

Now, IF using a Hose like that, doesn't violate your Code where you live, that may be the answer.

Keep in mind, that if you get a piece, it's usually quite expensive, and will come in a length which you may have to cut to make fit.

Additionally, it will come with a 3/4" MHT (male hose thread) on one end, and your T/P will be a 3/4" FPT (female pipe thread).

These two seemingly will mate, but, you really need to get an Adapter, to make the proper fit.

You might do a search to Lowes, Home Depot etc, and see if you can find one.

Have a good Day !

Thanks--I'll try that. How can I find out if this will meet code?

John,

Just call um and ask !

That'd be the City Permitting area of your Local Residental Inspection Services. (Plumbing Dept)

Better to have gotten that out of the way UP FRONT! Right

Have a good Day !
