I bought this camera (Sony CCD-TRV70)to play back Hi8 tapes I recorded before my old camcorder died. It seems my old camcorder was not quite calibrated to standards when it comes to recording on Hi8 medium. When I play them back, certain recorded segments have audio drop in/out and 'rolling' video. If I push on the tape with my finger while it is playing, the a/v improves. Is there a way to modify/tweak the mechanics of the camcorder to better read the data on the tape?
