how to change belt tensioner pulley on 98 ford escort zx2

Well you know that you should have the long flat tool with the 13mm socket to relieve tension on the pulley to get the belt off. Access tensioner from underneath car - on a lift would be best. You HAVE to take the lower power steering fitting off in order to remove the lower tensioner bolt. Change it, torque it down, re-install the belt and you are good to go. tensioner costs about $60. I just had mine done first part of Jan - 10. Was gummed up inside.
