How does one run a channel scan? No option for a channel scan is shown when the 'Menu' button on the TV or on the OEM remote control is pressed. This TV was used in a hotel that used Lodgenet as their programming provider whereas I use the local cable company. When the TV is turned on, it goes to a channel that has no signal provided by the cable company.

yes wow that brings back memories.when I was with circuitcity we serviced some hotels with zenith and magnavox t.v.s.if I remember the cable company the hotel was using actually had a special program box.they actually would go into the micro and eeprom and change the settings so the hotels could control all the t.v.s.Im not sure if you could change it back with out the right programmer. In the older zenith t.vs you could get into the service menu by pressing menu 98765 enter on the remote control and it would bring up service data see if you can get into the menu and look for factory reset or better intialize eeprom good luck on this one

No joy as yet. It does require using the correct 'master' remote control. Have one on order slated for Tuesday delivery. Will post progress report then.

Thanks for the help and suggestions!
