Having trouble with carrier weathermaker 8000 unit. When I try to start the furnace (gas), the "glow strip" lights up, a fan is running, but no gas seems to be getting to the burners. The glow strip will cycle on and off with a click, but no flames and no heat. Help, I'm simply a layman with no money and need to figure this out with someone else's expertise.

A followup to my problem . . . I cleaned the flame sensor with steel wool and still have no flame. Error code appears to be 34 (3 short and 4 long).

I think you might have to check your inducer motor... Is it working properly?
