Just go to www.clarklcraft.com They have a whole bunch of different kinds of hydro plans at reasonable prices.
Our industries have expanded to such a point that they will burst their jackets if they cannot find a free outlet to the markets of the world. Our domestic markets no longer suffice. We need foreign markets.

I used to race the Clakrcraft "Wetback" nine footer when I was about 13 years old. Altogether was running a Merc 50 w/ a chopepd lower unit and a cleaver. Ran about 70 mph, was a great boat. Alas, as I gotten older I gotten bigger and busily racing hydros wasn`t in the cards...great hobby while it lasted though!

In fact, a little too impressive. But then again the Merc 50 is what, a D engine? And "fondly chopped lower units" does`nt subsequently begin to perform as well as (readily available) racing lower units.
Oh, by the way, D hyrdos are longer than nine feet.
Just for kicks what is the speed record -- today -- for D hyrdos?
