I have a 1988 Chevrolet Celebrity with a V-6 2.8L engine and there is no spark in the engine. I was told that it could be the crankshaft postion sensor but not sure b.c i cant find it...can someone help me with this?

The CPS is located on the middle lower part of the engine block, nearest to the passenger compartmnet.

Very hard to see, and breaks easy, when and if yoy can see it, use a pliers or wrench to twist it then pull it.

BTW i belive its a 8 mm wrench, which is bent specifically for this job.

Thank you so much this is one of two of my cars that just stoppd working, and this one seems like the easiest to fix but i couldnt find it. I apprciate it.

I had a 89 Olds have the same problem, The sensor broke off in the block, and then the oil pan needs to come off - way too much money to do that, cause they need to rais the engin to get the oil pan off.
