i have a poulan pro 20 inch saw, the exhaust heat is scorching the chain brake handle

I am assuming the engine is starting to run hot, i replaced the plug with a CJ7Y, and cleaned the filter and stuff like that

it totally melted the last chain brake handle, so i purchased a whole new side with the brake handle/brake assy, but it is starting to do the same thing again and i do not want to repeat the problem
