I just installed a Craftsman 3/4 HP garage door opener. When I press the opener button on the wall switch with the door closed, the opener tries to close the door, rather than open it.
What can I do to get it to open (raise the door)?
Is there a "reverse" switch like on a ceiling fan?

not so easy.
why it operates properly without that cover?
instead of cover pushes that tiny knob, I do it by finger and everything is ok.
thanks.

you didn't say anything about it working correctly without a cover. maybe you have a bad control panel. get a new one and install it(KEEP THE RECEIPT) and if its not the problem return the new one.
