Hello

I was wondering if anyone knows how to install (preferably a wood) hanging rail/rod in a free standind wardrobe.

If it was belt in I would screw or anchor cleats on to the side of the cupboard which I would then attached a rod housing and place rod in housing...but with a free standing wardrobe I cannot install cleats.

Greetings Kate welcome to the Forum.

Are you talking about the Socket and Cradle for a 1 1/4" wood Dowel ?

Sure you can !

Use screws or drill through the sides, and bolt hangers (socket and cradle) in.
Cut the Dowel to fit and lay it in um.

Have a good Day !
