Hi
I have a basement and storage room in the at the basement level on my house, and i need to install an outlet in the storage room. (the basement has one already)
What do I need to install a second outlet? (I guess I can install it from the first?)
Thanks so much.

First thing make sure the power is off.
Then buy approved wire and connectors, along with an outlet box, the outlet.

Just remember when you hook one outlet to another, you are splitting the amps between them, so if the breaker is a 15 amp, then you cannot run both outlets at 10 amps each.

Does that make sense to you?

In my Kitchen one breaker runs three outlets and I cannot use my toaster while my microwave is running, cause it trips the breaker.

Good luck.
