I've got a homelite model 10947D chainsaw that seems to have an issue with a chainbrake that won't release enough.

I've replace the brake band, along with the link and spring.
It still won't release properly to allow the chain to spin on the bar.

There seems to be no other means to adjust a clean release of the brake band.

Help!! :0(

are you sure its the brake and not the chain itself.
