JVC AV-65WP74 no picture, blue flashing light, pulsing sound

The subject says it all. Last year we replaced the IC's to repair our convergence issues and now this morning the TV picture dissapeared, the blue light on the front started flashing and there was a pulsing sound coming from the speakers. We had to unplug the surge protector to shut it off and when plugged back in the problem returned? What do we need to replace this time? We are lucky enought to have a firend who has some repair experience if we knew where to start and what parts we need.

you could have another bad convergence i.c again.this time one shorted and is pulsating the t.v.there was a bad bunch of stk392-110 that would last a few months then crap out.does the front light have a pattern to it.sounds like one of you b+ lines is shorted.does it flash right away when you plug the t.v. in or does it flash when you hit the power button.
