jvc camcorder repair

I have a JVC everio camcorder and I believe my Lcd screen has gone bad. I would like to change out the screen myself. No warranty, so am I crazy. Model GZ-MG77U. Any help and direction is greatly appreciated. Thanks

First. Are you sure it's the LCD, and not an interconnect problem (i.e. the flex cable).

But no metter what the problem, it's going to be hard to get parts. Your best bet might be to send it off for repair, unless you can get your hands on a DOA unit for parts for cheap.

the lcd is totally cracked because i pressed the cam in mmy chest. Whole cam is working and the connection with PC is ok.

And where can I reapir it?
