My kitchen faucet will not stay on when the hot water is on. The faucet is a single handle control that controls both the hot and cold, and it is a separte from the spicket. Everytime I turn the hot water on the handle will fall and the hot water will stop. It will not do this until there is actually hot water running...when it is first turned on and cold water comes out it stays on. The faucet is only 2 years old and it has always had this problem. It is a Price Pfister Marielle Kitchen faucet. Any ideas?

Greetings Jay welcome to the Forum !

Sounds like you need to increase the pressure on the Ball, but, really can't tell until I see a Digram of the assembly.

Wouldn't hurt if you'd have given us a Link to it, and, what model is it ?

Jay,

The Parts Breakdown I found at... http://www.pricepfister.com/www/ImageAssets/mirror/ model/kitchen/marielle/mar026-4n/EX-026-01.pdf
for your Faucet, is not as revealing as I had hoped it would be.

But, I'm looking at item #931-900.

That appears to be a nut, that I think can be rotated/tightened, to force more pressure down on the Cylinder. That may cause more pressure on it, which might hold the Handle in place, when the temperature expands the parts.

If that doesn't work, you may need to buy a complete Cartridge Assembly (Item #974-035), and just replace it.
My best guess!

Have a good Day !
