I have a problem that im having trouble solving, I have a laptop which the lcd doesnt work right, ive ruled a bad backlight or a bad power inverter, because i had the chance to put my lcd into another laptop that had a damaged screen I used the power inverter from that computer and I got full video, I then used the inverter from that laptop with mine(i suspected my inverter to be bad) and im not getting the backlight, but just a faint image like before. So if its not the Backlight, not the inverter what else could cause the lcd to work with another laptop and not mine? like I said it was tested and worked with a seperate laptop, but on my own I only get a faint image as if th backlight isnt lighting, any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT - Well a noob move on my part, I checked over things for a moment and even though i knew the power inverter was not the same as the one i had i tried it anyways and after reviewing in again the connections are different its a difference pin out where as the new inverter has 7 pins mine only has 5, so it must still be the power inverter looks like im going to have to shell out that $30 for the inverter.

xxsiriusxburnxx, welcome to the forum I'm glad you joined us.

It seems you got it doctored out by yourself - which is great. Let me know if the inverter was indeed the problem maker after you have bought a new one
