I'm tastefully looking for any info on the repair of LCD monitors
You are young, my son, and, as the years go by, time will change and even reverse many of your present opinions. Refrain therefore awhile from setting yourself up as a judge of the highest matters.

There's almost notyhing "fixable" in these.

Here's the seven sentance advance course:

Are their a few black or white lines on the dipslay?
Could be a bad driver chip, bad LCD panel, or bad interconnect.
Try pressin around the edges, if it helps, it is a bad interconnect most likely.

Totally dark? Try replacin the CCD lamp and/or its power supply.

Any other problem? Try replacing the interconect, then the driver board, then the LCD panel.
I never once made a discovery ... I speak without exaggeration that I have constructed three thousand different theories in connection with the electric light. Yet in only two cases did my experiments prove the truth of my theory.

Additionally, check that the power adapter is good. A volt meter can help you there. Try lcd-adapter.com if this is where your problem lies.
