My hot water tank started leaking the moment I shut off the water to my basement bathroom. I recently changed the pressure valve with the same results. What I am noticing also is that when i shut the water off in the basement bathroom, when i turn on faucets or toilets other places in the house, often times the water comes out fast, then settles out.

Davecd17, I think you need an plumber with pressure measuring equipment to find out where the problem is situated.

Sounds like a severe pressure problem.. You can buy a gauge and place it on a hose connection to get a reading
