2 yrs and 2 months old. Nov. 08

The the problem began last year about October the furnace would start the exhaust fan and nothing else happened.

The service "bloke" came and said the thermostat was bad! The reason I said bloke is that I knew what was wrong. He was rude after I explained the symbols of the thermostat it called for heat, it worked all summer on airco.
He said how long since you changed the batteries. Once a year, I pulled the batts the voltage was 1.45 or something like that. Put in new batts anyways, no change.. I got it trick started and he left.
I called his office and asked for a new control board, why they asked,
from reading the trouble code, normally
green and red flash rapid indicating
a working furnace. He installed a new circuit board it worked up to today.
On fail only the green flashes which again it did today.
I turned off it's power switch 3 min later it would run+heat.
I feel like a fool calling again for service also have to pay them big money...
This is my second condensing furnace the first one cost me more money on service and parts than I saved on gas charges 100 to 125$ per/year.

Bernard, welcome to the forum It sounds like there is perhaps a maintenance problem if this is the second condensing furnace you have.

Thanks for the welcome msg. Jeffie

I looked up the error code, either blocked vent or defect vacuum sensor. The vent pipe never had/was a problem.

Next time it happens I will jumper the offending sensor(s) one by one.

Considering it begins it's second winter maintenace should not be an issue as yet I think.
