Hi Bvlgary welcome here, I hope you will enjoy the forum

I understood that all hydroplanes are easy to build (compared to others).

Do you have anything specific in mind already?

just something that will be fairly easy to build to start me off and isnt too expensive but that i could use in the sea (i dont want it falling apart on me. having read other forums i think that the hydroplane would probably be the easiest to build with most fun.
i have bought two houses in bulgaria and im looking for something that i may be able to make into a trade over there. really something simple but that would look nice. also i dont know what the average engine size would be for a beginner. im really enjoying the forum, i have learnt a lot of stuff by it since last night. the site is really good. i have managed to get hold of a couple of plans already(some of them quite old) but am also looking for expert advice, of which there seems to be plenty of on here

Bvlgary, I'm so sorry I don't have the experience of building a hydroplane, let alone economical or easy, -

I'm sure tho there must be some expert-members out there that have and thus

may I just wish you a LOT OF success ?

Bulgaria is a beautiful country (or so at least people I know that have been there told me) - so, one thing you got going for you already: the location

Are there any waves? Is there place to hold BBQ's? Jogging? Set up a martial art class? Anything....

To live near the beach is a dream.

so many possibilities... the choices are just 2much

yes theres waves. my garden is 1/3rd of an acre. I could set up a martial arts class, i could teach, however it would be for free. the average wage there is about 80 pound per month. saying that out of the thirty people in my village one of my neighbours is a woodmeister, one is a metalworker and the other one was a captain in the bg army. so i thought may be able to get small business going there. other than that not too much else workwise. loads to do for pleasure, skiing beach etc, but a life of pleasure would probably be like watching barberella with Jane Fonda (if you remember that0

Barbarella, now that's an interesting turn of thought

Now you want to build and sell hydroplanes there? Or?

Everything you do while living near the beach will feel a lot better than doing it in crowded urban surroundings, and it seems there are lots of ways to pass the time except for looking at Barbarella (overdoing it, is what you meant?)

I ideally want to learn how to make them first, and then maybe make and sell in bulgaria. it has started appealing to a younger crowd with its good weather. however a lot of business ventures over there are negligible.. i am a doorman/bouncer of twelve years and have had my own barber shops. the nightclubs mainly have bulgarians working on them. and a haircut over there costs eighty pence. so i really need to broaden my horizons and learn new skills. as its something ive always fancied doing thought it may be ideal. also most of the girls over there are dolly birds and any english they see as millionares. so wouldnae be too bad a start. haha

Oooowahhhh talking about combine work and fun!

Aren't there any exhibitions near where you live now? That would be the ideal way to make up your mind about the kind of hydroplane fits you most for building.
