you were able to fix the resistor 'problem'?

I advise you to see if you have a faulty ac receptacle.

You can check that by plugging in a lamp light at the same plug you plug in the tv.

No that allowed me to be able to turn my tv on which I could not do before. Now I am getting the pink line few a few seconds then my tv turns off.

OK, this must be the protection circuit (that shuts the tv off in order to protect it from damage). You would have to open the tv, and override the protection circuit in order to find out where excessive current is going that makes the tv shut off. If you know your way around in circuitry - you probably will manage, but else you will need a service manual. Or, take it to the shop to get someone experienced to fix it
