not praticial santa-fe railroad in the western usa has tryed several times on and off to use turbines. one they could not come in town or cities because their to noisey.two they only burn 85 per cent of total fuel too much unburnt vapor out the exhaust.so their, they waste fuel.general motors severals years back tryed to use a gas turbine on inter state highway it broke down more then they care to tell.same problem noise in cities most band the trucks.unburnt fuel resadue on highways bad on wet pavement mix with oil.the only successful turbine is steam aboard ships and water vessels where water is avaiable and then they are not quit in the engine rooms.and they use only 85 to 90 percent of the steam.even jet engine waste fuel.look on runway on take off you will see wet pavement behind the engines.turbines are out will never work.

then you got the enviroment like the railroad out in parts of the western states were theirs lots of sand plows in the intakes of the turbine clogs shuts engine down.then theres the birds and the the bees and other debris in the air.i do beleive some military vehicles using turbine are having trouble in the sandy areas of the world are havings problems with the enviromental conditions.turbines i do not think so.invest your time solar or electric generators powered by the wind that where we need to invent strongly.not more noise in the enviroment.

Yes, now you mentioned something, Hobbist: the noise.....

This is a mere model though, no? Or intended to serve as a protoype?

well once the engine itself is finished, which i just did today, ill run it for a while and get a feel for it running open, and when i get that down ill put a steel tube and reducer out the exhaust turbine, fit an afterburner system in, maybe convert to kerosene, and put that sucker on wheels...

If it doesn't prove to make enough power for that i may just use a turbine off a shopvac or something and make a generator out of it, but even i know it wont be too efficient

im not sure why it double posted, but delete this one please, thanks.
