Manufactured vs traditional

We are considering buying or building a new home. As part of that I have started researching manufactured homes. I think that most people look down on a manufactured home, without knowing much about it. I'm not talking about a trailer, or one that looks like a shoebox with a roof. I'm talking about a custom home that is built indoors and brought on site and finished.

I've been looking at this company, simply because they are in Kansas and I have a personal contact there. They use all 2x6 exterior wall construction and the lumber would have almost ZERO exposure to the elements.
