...without drilling holes in the cabinet.

As stated in the subject, I would like to finally mount the electric can opener in the kitchen. However, it looks like it can only be mounted from above, and cannot be attached to the wall. I really don't want to put holes in the cabinet if I can avoid it, and am looking for any clever ways around that.

I was toying with attaching it to another piece of wood, and then using rubber stoppers between the sides of the wood and the overhanging sides of the cabinet, but I'd first like to hear if anyone has tried something like this.

Arphahat, I never tried something like this. So I shouldn't be answering I suppose, but I just wanted to say that I think that it is a good idea you got there...
