I cannot figure this out, I push the clutch in and put the car in 1st , and if I let it sit for a few seconds in gear with the clutch pressed in it will start to disengage without me letting the clutch out (this happens sometimes in 2nd and happens a lot in reverse as well).

I just put a new clutch kit in the car and it made no difference, it did this before I replaced the clutch and it does it the exact same now after. I bled the clutch as well and it made no difference (the fluid is pretty dirty but I don't think that would cause this problem).

Anyone have ANY idea what this is? Please help! Thanks!

The car does have the slave and master cylinder. This car is from NC and has been doing it for awhile there and did it the same when I brought it back from MI. So you think it would be the master cylinder not the slave?

Greetings LittleCeli, and welcome to the Forum !

hobbist is right on that, and you need to get that Clutch Master (and Slave) fixed quick, it can only get worse, and may run you into sometiing !
But to be speciffic, it's the Clutch Master that's causing that. If it were the Slave, you'd see some Fluid leaking out of it, and of course the level would drop in the reservoir.

But, if one's bad, the other is probably close behind it, and it doesn't cost all that much more, to get the Slave done, and fresh fluid in the whole system.

Anytime you have to wait, like at an intersection or Red Light, kick that thing in nutural, and only put it in gear, when you're ready to go, and the other traffic is moving out.

Stay safe !

Have a good Day !

Awesome thanks you guys for the help, I will be replacing that shortly. Yeah its a little tricky to drive her in lots of traffic haha.

Do you think it would be a bad idea to get a clutch master cylinder rebuild kit and just rebuild mine? Obviously thats a lot cheaper than getting a replacement one, but if its not going to help I don't want to waste the money. Any thoughts on that? Thanks again!
