My Kenmore Heavy Duty 70 Series washing machine abruptly stopped on the spin/rinse cycle during a warm water wash....upon starting a new load, I turned the knob to COLD, and water stopped filling into the drum. Since the washer only has cold rinses, we determined the lack of cold water into the machine is the problem. All the taps are on; nothing changed on our end...any idea how to get the cold water working again?

It might be a bad valve (electric), that would be the frist thing to check, just follow the hose into the back of the washer, and you should see the valve with wire atached.
