My sony KV-35S45 won't turn on. It's blinking in timer/stanby mode. The light kept blinking repeatedly. How do i fix this problem ?

Is there a code or something I can put in to solve the standby/timer blinking issue with my sony Kv-35S45 TV ? Some help would be greatly helpful in this case.

I had the same thing go wrong with my Sony 35S45. The problem was a small transformer that burned out. I ended up paying a guy $95 to replace it. I didn't save the bad part so I don't know the part number. but most skilled solder technicians can replace it without much difficulty. An amateur solder tech will have trouble getting the leads back in correctly.

I hear what you saying man but in order to confirm the fault itself, I have to get some technician to come and look at it and base on what they told me over the phone, I know I will be paying over $80.00 just for them to come look at it plus whatever the cost to repair it. I'm wondering if it's really worth fixing Or should I just think about a new TV.

To be honest, I'd at least think about it. for $100 these days you can get a nice, good quality 32"+ CRT television on CL a dime a dozen. Last one I bought for the girls playroom... it cost me $30 for a 32" RCA (not so nice as the SONY, but the price was perfect!)...
Good luck!

My Sony KV 36FS-120 WON'T TURN ON. STANDBY TIMER BLINKS 9x, STOPS AND REPEATS THIS SEQUENCE. IS THIS EASY TO FIX, OR WHAT SHOULD A REPAIRMAN CHARGE ME?
