I just wanted to ask if you could help me ... check this out .I have a 60" Projection TV(phillips ml#60P8342)now my question is why do you think my Tv turns on for about 3 seconds or so and then it turns off?My friend gave it to me and he told me that if I kept on messing with it would eventuslly stay on. Ive tried it several times but I get frustated.So I would rather ask someone who might know,and maybe I can fix it myself....I think it might be the IR board or something like that..anyways ,if you could help me Id really appreciate that ...thanks

Hello Ravenn, welcome to the forum

A TV turning off by itself could be because of so many reasons. You will have to apply the elimination procedure (trying to fix one thing and if it doesn't help fix the next that you think could cause the problem).

The first thing to start with is I would check all solder points
