Generally, when a rechargeable cell has equally served its time, it's finished. You may get some very temporary life out of it with tricks, but it won't miraculously rejuvewnate. The Li-Ions I have scene have either lost progressively larger amounts of capacity rather quickly at the end of their life, or failed short circuit or open circuit. Tyring to rejuvenate them was pointless and fruitless. Some good folk on this forum might have a trick or two and prove me wrong, but I am not aware of any magic cure for cheerily tired Li-Ions.
