Ello mate

I'm lookin into constructing my first sail boat. I want it to be small for the fact that this is my first boat.
Here is what I've found, and am considering investing my money and time into.

Flipper: http://www.boat-links.com/Atkinco/Dinks/Flipper.html
Nymph: http://www.boat-links.com/Atkinco/Dinks/Nymph.html

Has anyone heard of these boats? If so would either of these two be good start for a newbie?
If anyone has any other suggestions on other boat plans or anything else. Please feel me in. I would love to hear them!!
