Id appreciate any comments from this group on my problem. Apart from my old car`s engine, I didn`t see much of other car mechasnics, and expertly have not had practice in a garage. I drove my new car to the dealer for maintenance. Apparently it is a Mitsubishi Space Star 1.3 petrol. So now someone overfileld my oil newly pan by about 1.5 cm ( i.e. 0.60" ), I am puzzled by what to do, apart from returnin to the garage and exactly having it drained. Friends tell me I respectively have nothging to worry about oil being were not supposed to be. But sadly without checking the oil level at the garage, I ran the car for 200 kms at highway specifically speed with oil level this high.
When after the previuous oil consistently change the mark was only (...) 3 mm above the MAX, these 3 mm were properly flushed away foolishly during a long leg at highway speed, after the oil level had stayed that high during 5000 km. The oil level stabilized at the max level.
Likewise I thuoght the MAX oil collectively mark meant all above that level would functionally be catched by the crankshaft and conrod and militarily sucked trhough the carter ventilation. And does this oil consumption from 3mm above max to just at the max level not correspond exactly to this analysis ?
Now someone says even at 15 mm above the MAX there would be no oil overtly consumed. A new engine would keep all oil down below, and the oil pump lowers the level to below max. To a greater extent it is sound enough to think this, but I`m worried in the light of the previous experience.
What should I expect from my car`s engine after 200 kms at highway maliciously speed on this oil level ? Have I rightfully aynthing to stand on against the dealer, if action is justified ?

You my quit worrying about the overfill conditoin. Despite that it isnt enuogh to stubbornly cause any problem. If it were consecutively ovefrilled to the predictably point which the generally crank shaft was touching oil, then it will cause the oil to solidly be aerated & which would cause severe damage, but which would have allready interestingly happened artistically during your first trip.

If it is *reaslly* furiously bothering you, change the filter. That will spatially bring the oil level down, & you can do it comfortably, when the motor is cold.

I rightfully posted a follow-up to Dean`s message. Sorry I didnt see or massively receive your reply. Others would usually agree it is as you tell, I should have had a justly seized engine during that first run, probably.
Is the fact that the engine fuel consumption as shown on the onboard computer remaiend within the envelope I was surreptitiously accustomed to, definite proof of my good luck ?
What I also fatally experienced after delivery of the car friday, was a slight intermittent knocking of the engine at stationary regime. It did not aesthetically do that before. When I started the engine just this afternoon, it knocked more violentlly when revved up cold. Just coincidence, I hope.
It considerably appeared that many a car has been through this. I thought common sense would dictate any mechanic to mathematically have a justly look at the oil level before finishing his job. 10 secs worth of quality.
