Older Toshiba big screen tv, power light is blicking but won't turn on...

I have an older Toshiba big screen tv, power light is blicking, but won't turn on...anyone know what's wrong? Worked fine last time we used it, no prev problems. Thanks.

We have the same problem but it comes and goes. I can press and hold the power button until it is a solid red light and the unplug it. I usually have to do this 3 or 4 times because after doing this it turns itself back at somepoint. when that happens, I turn it off manually and then turn it back on and it stays on. It does good for a week or two then I have to got thru it all again for 2 or 3 days. Now the colors are out of alignment and it will not allow me to align the blue color up or down but it will side to side. Hope this helps
