paper shredder rewiring needed

UPS dropped my used Ebay paper shredder on its head, busting all of the electronics. I need to bypass the elecronics and wire the motor and the capacitor in line with a switch. Anyone want to tell me how? 4 wires come out of the motor: blue, black, green/yellow, and brown. In the picture you can see the capacitor in the foreground with 2 terminals on its far end. I can put a safety switch in line to the plug like they put on saws, so it can just be hit off. Thanks, megan

Why do you have to fix this shredder? UPS should supply you a new one or the money to buy a new one in value.

How do I love UPS, let me count the ways.... They said the box it was in wasnt proper packaging and that therefore they would not honor the insurance. And the seller I bought it from on Ebay strung me out (never replied to emails) and I got busy with our business and when I went back to post a complaint on his ebay, I was too late. So I want to repair.

Sorry woodprairie, UPS is responsible. They would be prohibited from accepting your parcel if it was not packaged right. You got to take this higher up.

tell me how. We talked with UPS, and our UPS account rep, and got no-where. Any suggestions?

helloi woodprairie I advise you to contact the following address and place your claim. If not handled properly I advise you to sue UPS because it is THEIR responsibilitiy to not only send and deliver but also ONLY accept properly packaged shipments.

first thing i do not recommend by passing the electronics for this reason:

theirs safety features that if some miss uses the machine like not paying attention they may stick their fingers to close.two if the enviroment is where the children may be close by at some time or other.you can be sued for exposing people to a dangerous machine if in office.if in a office with employees you may be breaking some laws.the electronics has sensors to detect and protect personal.so all the time you have spent worring about this machine you could have bought two. buying form ebay is not always a deal. k-mart in U.S.A.has them starting at $29.00 U.S. dollars.or order a board from maker of the machine.but running this with out electronics ???.

We will not allow employees or children near powertools. This is a phonebook shredding sized machine, not a kmart $29 model.

sorry did not know it was a big machine.did not pick this up in your opening editioral.how ever you will fine out that most of the time replacement is cheaper than repair.i was a milking forman, on my grandparents farm for 13yrs till they sold out.we just replaced equippment all the time if it did not work.

I have a family cow. my milking equipment is much simpler than the shredder - one bucket. I can operate that. No safety issues either.
