Find out if your vehicle has pass lock or pass key, probably pass lock 11, if so get a bypass module from dei, model 556l or 556lw, this module will bypass your security system OR you can locate your passlock wires, small wires close to the ignition switch, and check the resistance with a digital meter to determine the ohms and get that resistor or one slighly higher at radio shack to install in the passlock wire. 556l available on ebay. tom

Also to reset the security light, turn the key on, not crank, just on with dash lights and security light blinkly, leave it on for aprox 10 mins, it will reset itself.

with doors closed turn key to on position until lights go out...slowly push gas pedal down 3 times...wait a few seconds and turn key off...wait a few seconds and turn key on & start car. on most gm cars this should reset security system.
