I may be an idiot, but I can't find the PCV in my '93 Cavalier. The pictures in Chilton's and Haynes are not specific to my vehicle and the descriptions seem to point to things I don't have!
Can anyone point me in the direction of this item? A picture would be awesome, but any detailed description is also great. Thanks!
(It's 2.2L, if that helps....)

Hi stickBoy, welcome to the forum

If my memory serves me well there should be a hose running from a small black plastic box at the front of the engine which on the righthand side has a small hose that runs towards the intake manifold - that should be your pcv valve

I don't see the small plastic box, but I think I may have found the pcv valve. I didn't pull it out because I don't have a replacement with me.
I found it on the huge plastic hose connecting the air filter. It comes out the side and goes right into the top of the valve cover. No hose. Would that be it?

I'm afraid I lost trail in your description
If you'd have a photo of it that would be great...

Looks like you found it! It fits into the valve cover encircled by a rubber grommet and is no more than a metallic one-way valve about 1/2" in diameter with a spring-wire clamp on the hose fitting. They cost around $6.00-9.00 at your favorite Schuck's/Kragen/AutoZone....etc. Make sure to clean out the air filter housing where the PCV valve hose enters, and there's probably a small filter that you'll also have to replace if you're replacing the PCV valve.
