The picture on my old Zenith Tv is too dark. How can this be fixed?

Hi Deb, welcome to the forum. Depending on what year and type your tv is from have you tried turning up screen(G2) control? There also seem to be a cap in the high voltage line which after replacement may lighten up your set.
