am a single lady with a used car and trying to do the DIY routine...never had to take care of my own and now am leary of taking it to a repair shop...having been ripped off b4.I put fluid in it but it leaked right back out , cant steer it ...well I cant anyways ..lol

you might be able to repair the leak your self!!! try to pinpoint were the leak is coming from. it should be one of three places.. first check the p/s punp unit itself for leaks (this is usually the unit that is driven by the belt and usually where you add fluid..
second, check the p/s lines there are two a high pressure and a low pressure they go from the pump to the p/s unit . I belive you car has a rack and pinion steering unnit. rather than a p/s box.. and third is the steering unit itself.. if you have a small mirror (like from a makeup case) and a flash light you can use the mirror to look under and around things.. if you find the leak and it is a hose most auto supply places stock p/s hoses. this you could do yourself if it is a p/s pump and /or steering unit itself you may what to take it to a shop .. good luck
